Craggy Range new partnership

Craggy Range is proud to partner with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO). The NZSO, founded in 1946, is the country’s leading professional orchestra and has kicked off an exciting 2016 season.

The partnership will see Craggy Range wines available at the VIP Lounge of the Wellington Michael Fowler Centre and poured at exciting bespoke events with the Orchestra throughout the country. The NZSO will also travel to Hawke’s Bay to perform exclusively at Craggy Range with events scheduled to take place in the coming months.

Craggy Range General Manager Aaron Drummond says partnering with the NZSO is a wonderful opportunity to further support the New Zealand performing arts community,

"We are delighted to partner with the NZSO as we see an intrinsic relationship between the expressive nature of music and the art of winemaking. We are also looking forward to showcasing Hawke’s Bay wines to guests of the NZSO as well as the opportunity to bring these world-class musicians to the region with a series of performances held here at Giants Winery."

"Whether it be a bottle of wine or a classical masterpiece, both have the ability to ignite the senses and take you on a journey. "

NZSO Chief Executive Christopher Blake says the NZSO's new partnership with family owned New Zealand winery, Craggy Range, is an ideal match.

"The NZSO is recognised as an outstanding orchestra of international stature and our reputation for artistic excellence is matched by the exceptional vineyard philosophy of Craggy Range. Craggy Range was the first in the Southern Hemisphere to make single vineyard wines from multiple New Zealand regions with grape varieties matched to place. That pioneering spirit produced wines of character, quality and authority - three words which could just as easily describe the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. The NZSO is delighted to partner superb music with this superb range of wines."

The NZSO Season 2016 has commenced with events scheduled around the country including Swing into Spring, the most extensive tour of the season with the NZSO visiting twelve centres in New Zealand. The NZSO will also feature at a Craggy Range event in Hawkes’ Bay this week as part of the F.A.W.C! Winter Series (tickets now sold out).
