Craggy Range Winery was recognised with an award for its luxury vineyard accommodation at the Hawke’s Bay Tourism awards.
Craggy Range Winery was recognised with an award for its luxury vineyard accommodation at the Hawke’s Bay Tourism awards, which took place on Wednesday 5th September.
The winery picked up the coveted Best Accommodation award in the small provider category. Craggy Range was recognised for the personalised experience it delivers, its immaculate gardens, and quality décor and interior design, with judges commenting that Craggy Range delivered “a truly Hawke’s Bay quality experience.”
Situated at the foot of Te Mata Peak, Craggy Range’s accommodation is located within the architecturally-designed Giants Winery complex, with four boutique one and two-bedroom cottages nestled among Chardonnay vines, and a luxury four-bedroom lodge enjoying sweeping views of the Tuki Tuki River.
The win comes as Craggy Range embarks on an expansion project which will see its accommodation portfolio expand to include two new Garden Cottages, and two new Luxury Lodges bringing the total accommodation capacity to 19 rooms across nine properties.
The new accommodation comes on the back of a programme of developments, which have seen updates to Cellar Door to provide a relaxed environment to enjoy engaging seated tastings of Craggy Range’s premium wines from Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough. Craggy Range’s on-site restaurant is in the final stages of a full refit, and is due to reopen in October 2018 with new features including an open kitchen and expanded bar area.
Speaking about the award win, Craggy Range Hospitality Manager Kristine Kilpatrick commented, “we are delighted to be recognised as a leader in luxury Hawke’s Bay accommodation. We are proud to represent this region, and the award reflects our aspirations to deliver a truly memorable world class experience to visitors to Hawke’s Bay. The investment we are making in expanding our accommodation demonstrates our commitment to developing and growing the luxury travel experience in Hawke’s Bay.”
Craggy Range’s new two-bedroom garden cottages launch December 2018, while the new two-bedroom river lodges will be available to book from March 2019.
