Sauvignon Blanc, Avery Vineyard

Avery Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
Located in the famous stony soils of Wairau Valley’s old Omaka River bed, our Avery Vineyard is classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

First made in 2001, the Avery Sauvignon Blanc allows flavours of lime, passionfruit and white peaches to show alongside the dry, mineral sensation on the palate that is unique to these soils.

  • Very pale straw with green hues. Intense aromatics of black currant, nettle and green chilli. A complete palate feel with crunchy nectarine and citrus flavours carried long by lovely acidity towards a stony finish.

  • Warm and early

"Aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with grapefruit, lime, passion fruit and red capsicum flavours. The wine has concentrated flavours and an ethereal texture with great purity and length. Silken-textured with a distinctive lanolin mouth feel. Very classy Sauvignon."

"Very impressed by this.  Very lively and expressive with open tangerine and passion fruit characters. Smooth and beautifully textured with lovely focus and a bit of exoticism. This isn’t your herbaceous, green style, but has more of an emphasis on ripe fruit. A very pretty, balanced wine."
