CELLAR DOOR

The home of Craggy Range is at the base of the spectacular scarp of Te Mata Peak, with Craggy Range itself to the south east. Te Mata is steeped in the legends of the local Maori people, it is a place once powerful but also serene. Traditional farming of sheep and cattle occupy the land alongside the architecturally inspired Giants winery and vineyard, named after the legend of Te Mata – The Fallen Giant.

In the heart of the Giants Winery complex is the Craggy Range Cellar Door. Looking out towards Te Mata Peak, it’s a breath-taking setting in which to taste a selection of Craggy Range single vineyard wines. Experienced and passionate, the cellar door staff will take you through the Craggy Range wines and explain our winemaking philosophy. Using interactive visuals that bring the vineyards into the cellar door you’ll learn about the different terroirs of our vineyards, reflected in each of the Craggy Range wines.

Browse the retail room for winery merchandise and see where some of our wines are made by taking part in a tour of Giants Winery, a unique experience for wine enthusiasts and novices alike.
