Deep Purple Wine Club Day truly captures the spirit of the Craggy Range brand and rewards members with a spectacular food and wine experience that is unique to New Zealand.
The event pays tribute to our most loyal supporters with guests flying in from across New Zealand and Australia to be hosted by the Peabody family, Steve Smith and the many staff of Craggy Range.
The only of its kind in Australasia, the event workshops include cooking demonstrations, food and wine matching masterclasses, vertical tastings as well as special food and wine stations situated throughout the Giants Winery grounds. For many the highlight in 2013 was our ‘Bordeaux Battleground’ blind tasting where we pitted three vintages of our ‘Sophia’ against three wines from both the Napa Valley and Bordeaux regions. Our predictions rang true with ‘Sophia’ showing amazingly well against the big hitters.
